- TYPE OF DOCK PERMITTED (platform, single slip etc.)?
- IS THERE AN EXISTING DOCK OR CAN IT BE PERMITTED?
2. STEEPNESS OF LOT. 3. SURROUNDING HOMES/LOTS (will they add to or subtract from the value of the home). 4. LAKE VIEW (seasonal or year round)? 5. AGE AND CONDITION OF EXISTING HOME (weekender or full time residence)? With the exception of economic recessions and periods of drought, waterfront properties have historically been exceptionally good investments with greater than average appreciation. Currently Lake Lanier (Forsyth, Dawson, Gwinnett and Hall Counties) is providing some exceptional buying opportunities as is Lake Alatoona (Cherokee County).
